Clinical cases with untoward outcomes are pulled from all General Surgery services and reviewed with group discussion focusing on improving patient care and finding opportunities for improvement.

1. To identify gaps in knowledge, competence, and performance by reviewing complications and death in patients on the surgical services
2. To discuss the most recent evidence-based medicine for different surgical pathologies and treatments
3. To obtain expert opinion when there is a paucity of literature or uncertainty of appropriate treatment plans
4. To review pathophysiology of surgical disease processes

Lakeland Regional Health designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit^TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to Lakeland Regional Healthcarecme@mylrh.edu.
